Positive vs. Negative Comments
Table1.1. The number of positive and negative comments and their percentile ratios
As you can see from the table and the diagram below (See diagram 1.1), the number of negative comments is twice greater than the number of positive ones. The following shows the distribution of feedback according to specific themes. Based on them, it will be possible to draw a conclusion about the reason of the predominant number of negative comments.

Comment Topic Distribution
Table 2.1. Comments distribution by themes
Distribution of comments by themes is misleading, but let's take all in order. iPage has a high quality technical support as demonstrated by the highest digits of the table (See Table 2.1), where the number of positive comments about the work of technical support is more than three times higher than the number of the negative ones. The greatest number of negative comments affects the theme of functional, but positive reviews in the same category are more than negative ones, so there is already a matter of taste and needs of each user (See diagram 2.1.). The negative comments of the Sales theme is indisputable. Since customers have a huge amount of questions related to the return of payments, cancellation of services and other financial issues (See diagram 2.2).
Diagram 2.1. Comments distribution by themes
Diagram 2.2. The ratio of positive and negative comments by themes
Among the feedback related to several themes the positive feedback dominate in the following subjects: Functional, Support; Sales, Functional, Support, and Sales, Support.
The company iPage (http://www.ipage.com ) is positively characterized by its users (65.6% positive feedback of the total amount of comments).
Most often, people respond positively to technical support, talking about its professional level, the reaction rate and polite treatment.
Most often negative comments refer to financial issues and about the Functional that doesn't suite the costumers (to be honest this is the weak point of all shared hostings).
User Feedback Content Analysis
Positive. Nickname: Chris Title: ipage worked out good for me
I was looking for a reliable web host to set up a web site for my church and I came across iPage. First of all you can't beat the price. $3.50/month is the best price out there. You may see prices as low as $2 on other web hosts, BUT you have to commit for 4-5 years, and if you choose to sign up for annual plan it will cost you $5/month at least. With iPage listed price is for 1 year.
So, I really liked it, they charge for annual plan what they advertise instead of promoting one price on their home page and then trying to charge different price once you check out. The hosting plan itself is packed with features and add-ons. Most of them (or all of the basic ones) are free. You may upgrade to more advanced tools for reasonable fees if you need to. But if you need to run a basic web site you should be fine with standard tools. Overall, I'm very happy with iPage. Strongly recommend.

I loved IPage, until I discovered that the rate they quote on their website ($4.50/month) is only a 12-month promotion. Nowhere on their site does it say that this price is only valid for 12 months, or merely a promotional rate - and you will not get any notice that your rate has increased. You have to go into your BillingCentral and see what your renewal rate is once you've signed up. Mine is now set to renew at $9/month ($107.40 for one year of hosting not including Site Backups and Restore for $16.95 and SiteLock Plus for $14.95)! When I submitted a ticket to ask about it, in their words "Unfortunately, we had to increase the price for the hosting packages due to the rising cost of technology and Support resources." It's really a shame, because as I said - I love IPage, and have been extremely happy with their support, up-time, control panel etc... But I can't justify paying over twice what I signed up for.
Typical comments of the Sales category
The main financial problem of iPage (http://www.ipage.com ) hosting company is increasing of prices for hosting while using the service, as well as difficulties with guaranteed refunds.
Positive. Nickname: www.we-dj.com Title: Great support that I dint' know I would need!
I chose iPage in part because of this site's reviews. So I thought I would add my review. I transferred a domain that was owned by someone else and hosted elsewhere. I chose iPage, then started the transfer process. I thought it would be simple, but I was wrong. Thank goodness for iPage's 24/7 support staff. They provided helpful and timely responses to every question. They walked me through transferring everything from another owner with another hosting provider, and then getting everything pointed at my site I created on Weebly. Everything is up and running as intended, and I have nothing but great things to say about iPage. iPage has earned my business for as long as I need to keep my website running!
Negative. Nickname: lucienne Title: iPage is horrible
If you do not want a constant battle with tech support (who don't know what they are talking about), horrible client support and constant down of your website then go with iPage. I just left, and I was with them for less than 48 hours. Nothing worked. I got wrong information from sales, (although he sent me email to let me know it was wrong) couldn't get my site up because the servers were consistently down and they ripped me off on the refund even though it was less than 48 hour turnover. I left justhost for iPage because someone suggested them and I wish I had not made that move. I never had issues with just host, customer service is not the greatest but it works. iPage was a nightmare I can't wait to get up from. When you call tech support and Joseph responds and then call sales and Joseph responds and call billing and it is still Joseph you know you have a problem. No wonder they do not know what they are talking about. I'm glad I didn't get sucked into an extended subscription...
Typical comments of the Support category
Here we have three times more positive comments, which indicates a high level of staff who is willing to help their clients. But there are times when some people cannot contact technical support, probably for the reason that the team is currently providing assistance with all its amiability to someone else.

Positive. Nickname: Veer Singh Title: The Deciding Factor
There are some dirt cheap web hosts in my country but price isn't everything. Realistically, it's helpful to take stock of a few fundamentals for an informed decision: the purpose of the website(s), the corresponding.
Requirements (including room for growth) and of course the budget.A lot of websites, space and traffic points to a dedicated server. Multiple sites, small-medium businesses requiring fairly large amount of space and bandwidth should be considering hosting slices. Shared hosting like iPage, is adequate for multiple blogs, non-profits, businesses with space and bandwidth requirements within 'fair usage'. My experience with iPage has been COMFORTABLE. Competency in script handling, prompt ticket response and a no-nonsense interface makes it a strong contender and I would go for it a second time. If you know your requirements and want a 'budget host' with quality service, iPage would be a wise choice.
Negative. Nickname: Richard Stephens Title: FTP is wicked bad
If you do not need FTP services, then iPage is not a bad hosting service. It is inexpensive and the tech support is ok.
However, if you have anything that requires FTP, stay away from iPage like the plague. The first problem you will run into is a 50% chance of even making an FTP connection. Half of the time, it simply times out. The second problem you will run into is support regarding FTP. They are extremely defensive and will blame everything on the Internet, your firewall and router, before admitting that they have issues. You will not get any help from them. They will simply tell you that it is not their problem.
After putting up with crappy FTP for a couple of months, I switched to WebHostingHub. Holy cow what a difference!! I made no changes to my firewall or router configuration and now FTP works every time... and much faster.
The last problem I ran into was cancelling my account. I had to kick and scream to get a refund.
Typical comments of the Functional category
After reading the feedback about the functional, which constitutes about 20%, we can conclude that the hosting has an easy to use interface for both beginners and professionals. But for some services they have to to pay additionally, as elsewhere. The main disadvantage of the site is the small amount of mail space, about 250 MB, which is, to be honest, very small and not very convenient for people leading their business by correspondence via email.
Positive. Nickname: www.HouseDanceClub.com Title: And The Best Host is iPage
I started with iPage October 2010 my site was up and running in days, I had no experience with building websites and used Weebly to set it up. Weebly was very easy to use and what I could not figure out Ipage's incredible customer support was there to help me. I used the Google and Facebook credits to advertise my site and have had great response, I used the Subnet service to help get things together as far as boosting my web search presence and that has worked out great also. I am getting ready to start selling items on my site and iPage made that a piece of cake using the Google checkout I was ready to make sales in minutes. The bottom line is iPage is the best web hosting solution there is if you are wanting to have a website, iPage is the only go to host!
Negative. Nickname: Anonymous Title: It might be a great service, but I'd never know
This service might be as great as everyone says, but I'd never know. It's been 18 hours since I paid for 3-years of service through Paypal.
According to IPage's sign-up page, if you use Paypal, it might "take a few minutes" to set up the account. AND you will not receive a domain until the transaction is authorized (it was authorized almost immediately), and the account is setup.
As of this moment (18 hours later) I haven't even received an email from IPage to let me know that they are *working* on setting up the account. Can I at least get a "Welcome email?!!
About 12 hours ago I called customer service, and I was told that the problem was that the account was not setup yet. When I asked if why the set-up was taking so long, I was rudely informed by their rep that customer service lines are open 24/7 and that I could call back later (it was 9:45 pm) to check on it if I wanted to.
*Ahem?* I THOUGHT that was what I was doing while on the phone with him.
Typical comments of the Stable category
You can judge the stability of the site by the fact that the collected feedback involving this section is almost 99% positive. Since people can be conditionally divided into different categories such as those who wrote about using the hosting for a long time without any redundance and people who are not satisfied with the quality of hosting in general, we can conclude that iPage is not a stable hosting company.
